How does Hooot work?

When you click the Hooot icon, it first asks you to set the conditions you want the AI to consider while analyzing. These include factors like days to expiry, instrument type, moneyness (ITM, OTM, ATM), number of ATM strikes, intraday momentum, VIX, and more. You can select multiple conditions, modify them later, and focus your insights on what matters to you.

What does Hooot offer?

1. Real-Time Commentary

Hooot provides live updates based on your open trades. It identifies important changes in market conditions, such as shifts in the option chain, option Greeks, or other metrics related to your positions. You can rate the insights with a thumbs up or down and provide direct feedback to fine-tune the experience.

2. Backtested Insights

Hooot checks for similar scenarios in the past and shows you how those trades performed in three situations: holding, squaring off, or holding with a stop-loss. For each, it provides data like:

• Average profit/loss
• Median P/L
• Win rate
• Expectancy ratio
• Maximum P/L
• Current P/L

You can click on any scenario for more detailed insights, including how often similar situations occurred in the past and the outcomes.

Flexible Analysis

By default, Hooot analyzes all your open index option positions, but you can manually select specific positions. This allows you to test specific strategies like straddles, strangles, or iron flies and focus only on the trades you're interested in.
